It was an ‘all-encompassing’ training for the students as they participated in blogging, barbing, shoe making and bead making.

The students were also trained on fashion design, catering, graphics design and mobile photography.

Meanwhile, Wisdom has expressed happiness over the impact blogging had on him, stressing that he has already secured a writing job.

He said: “It has been a wonderful programme and it has helped me secure a job already. I have been able to practise all the things I learnt; Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), how to write. Basically, it has helped in terms of writing, how to monetize blogging.

“I can now confidently say that I know how to use WordPress to publish content. I have learnt how to focus on a particular niche and I now know the difference between evergreen contents and the ones that will fade away after a while.”

While disclosing that he is still on the learning path, he also thanked his facilitator, Daniel Efeurhobo for his words of encouragement and impact.

Meanwhile, Efeurhobo, who is also a final year student of the institution emphasized the importance of blogging.

“We learnt how to use a blog, how to publish stories, things they need to know about blogging and keyword research. Words that people search for on the internet everyday.

“As a professional blogger, we need to make our research to know what people search for everyday before we can write articles on them,” the blogger explained.

The Deputy Provost of the monotechnic, Dr. Adeboye Ola was accompanied by the Head of Department, Mass Communication, Mr. Mike Osuji; Head of VST programmes, Mrs. Bisi Bamishe and lecturer, Mr. Anthony Oligbo in accessing the products made by the students.

Upon their assessments, they lauded the students for their entrepreneurial skills and creativity.
