The Chief Nurse of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Mrs. Triumphant Omotosho has enjoined the students of the monotechnic and other citizens to enhance their personal hygiene.
Mrs. Omotosho said that lots of sicknesses can be avoided if people maintain proper self hygiene in their daily activities.
According to her, malaria, ulcer, toilet diseases and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) are the most common sicknesses people struggle with in recent times.
“If we bath regularly, live in a proper hygienic environment that is void of mosquitoes, then it becomes hard to contact malaria. We also need to ensure that our toilets are cleaned properly with necessary disinfectants,” the nurse disclosed.
Similarly, she admonished the members of the public to avoid unprotected sex and self medication, stressing that it poses serious threat to the health.
She also urged the public to prioritize their health at all times and report any symptom to medical experts before it becomes aggravated.
