The Ecozone club of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba, Lagos; organizes an environmental awareness program to inaugurate the club to students and officials at the school.
The ecozone programme, in collaboration with the Lagos state Wastewater Management Office, (LSWMO), was held on; Wednesdays 6 August, 2025, at the school’s campus.
The programme however, begins with an opening speech, delivered by the founder of Ecozone, Mr. Anthony Oligbo to launch the club, a drama presentation by the Environmental Reporting Students on sustainable Wastewater and a spoken word presentation by the young Ecozone ambassador; Oyinyechi Oligbo.


Furthermore, is a presentation from the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office head, Engineer Kazeem Dosunmu who is also the head of sewage truck operations in Lagos; addressing the students on the topic; sustainable Wastewater management.

He enlightened the students on; wastewater; sources, classifications and impact on the human health.
Also, the public relations officer (PRO) of LSWMO, Mrs. Opeoluwa highlights and discusses about effective practice and procedures for wastewater management.

The programme, therefore, concludes with, award presentation to some executives of Ecozone,for their effectiveness; and a photo session, with the LSWMO staff and students.
