According to Mrs. Esther Eke, the Student Affairs Officer, the admission process commences with registration on the institution’s dedicated admission portal, necessitating a minimum of five credit passes in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or National Examinations Council (NECO) or their equivalent in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Eke also noted that alternatively, students may gain admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for those seeking to obtain an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate upon completion of the two-year full-time course or three-year part-time studies.

Meanwhile, prospective students seeking enrollment in the Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in Mass Communication are required to possess five credit passes, a National Diploma in Mass Communication with a minimum of Lower Credit from a reputable institution, and evidence/proof of a one-year mandatory industrial attachment.

Furthermore, applicants seeking admission for Postgraduate Diploma courses in Print, Broadcast Journalism, and Public Relations/Advertising must have five credit passes at the Ordinary Level and a First Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution.

In addition to its regular academic programs, the institution offers specialized short-term courses in Mass Communication, Photojournalism, News Writing, Reporting, Editing, and Radio and Television Production, amongst others.

Mrs. Eke emphasized that the institution is committed to accommodating as many students as possible in the 2024/2025 academic year, contingent upon their meeting the stipulated requirements for enrollment, and noted that the admission process will continue until further notice.
