Cueing and Trumpeting The Confetti: Finally the exams in NIJ are over, celebration hit the air
Share on FacebookShare on WhatsAppShare on Twitter

As the exams came to a close, frayed nerves calmed down, tension melted to obscurity; the strife for success that knitted students closely together in one organic whole, reached its high tide mark in a harmony of wild celebration across the students’ population- with the ND, HND, PGD students basking in absolute euphoria after the final papers.

On the first day of celebration, showcased the HND and PGD students marching out in their ranks and file to the egregious sports field, to party hard. Now take note that, this conspicuous field nestled in NIJ’s serene ambience could pass for a pavilion if furnished with roofed structure or shelter. So you can imagine how spacious it is to accommodate such a collaborative celebration.

On one section, the HND students grooved and danced the dusk to tame, with the floodlights lit to capacity, as though it were daylight while the PGD graduates rocked the night away, separating the boys from the men. We danced with charisma, even though we had no reasons to be in competition whatsoever; it also did not suggest who rocked a better mullet. However, we got the consent of the school management who assured us the whole space was ours that night for the taking!

Meanwhile it also was an opportunity to share business ideas and ink business deals beyond NIJ.

Anyway, do not ask me how I got home that night, they say “man wey know road no dey miss road” no matter the alcohol level; surely we entreated ourselves to delectable wines & spirits and lots of food to eat and take-away. I still savour the moment till today.
