According to eyewitnesses, the theft occurred in a broad daylight while students were studying for their exams in the library.

Speaking on the incident, the affected student confirmed that she has reported the theft to campus security.

One of the security officers, who also confirmed the theft, stated that the criminal escaped after he threatened to stab officials and students at the entrance.

However, the management of NIJ has expressed regret over the incident.

The management assured that efforts were ongoing to review existing security measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Meanwhile, students and staff are being advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
