EKSG stated that Prine Alabi was the sole candidate after the Ruling House of Osi Ekiti sent his name to the kingmakers in line with tradition. Consequently, the order was given by the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mrs. Monisade Afuye after a meeting with stakeholders which include the kingmakers and representatives of Arubiojo Ruling House.

“Dear friends, let me first apologize for this late appreciation. I have been a happy “victim” of endless calls and shuttle between two states at a moment’s notice since Sunday.

“I am immensely grateful for your heart lifting messages and congratulations on my ascension to the exalted stool of Olosi of Osi-Ekiti. May God bless you and yours beyond your expectations,” the lawyer said in appreciation to the congratulary messages received.

The royal seat has been vacant for three (3) years following the death of Oba Oladiran Agunbiade on August 5, 2021.
