The reigning winner of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) pageantry otherwise known as ‘MISS NIJ’, Olusanjo Tomilola Olubukola has enjoined students to adopt discipline ahead of examination.
Tomilola made this known in an interview while highlighting the ethical implications of examination malpractice.
She noted the need for honesty, integrity and hard work – and admonished her colleagues to resist the temptation of engaging in any form of cheating.
Amidst cheating, the final year student also stressed the importance of punctuality and indecent dressing, hence, she encouraged her peers to dress modestly and maintain a professional appearance.
She further disclosed the significance of arriving the examination hall early, maintaining that the tardiness not only disrupts the flow of the exams but also reflects poor attitude on the part of the student(s) involved.
Consequently, she encouraged her colleagues to plan their schedules effectively, thereby allotting ample time for preparations and arriving examination venues early.
With the commencement of examination on Thursday, it is believed that these words from MISS NIJ will be put to use.
