UNILAG hosts maiden communications festival in April

The University of Lagos Mass Communication Alumni Association (UMCAA) is set to host its maiden communications festival on April 16.

According to the association, the event from April 16 to 18 will hold at Department of Mass Communication and J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium (Main) 10am daily.

NIJ Set For 2024/25 Second Semester Examination

“It’s going to be a home coming event for us all. The dept through our HOD, Prof Adepoju Tejumaiye is putting everything in place to welcome us all,” UMCCA President, Mr Adewale Williams stated in a message to members.

As the leading Communications institution in Africa, he said “we are setting another precedent. Pls mark the date… Prepare to participate. You owe your Alma Mater this very important task. Watch out for more information on the day-to-day activities of the event.”

The organisers said the events are open to practitioners, students, corporate organisations, telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) gurus.

Other invitees are bankers, veterans and the general populace, while the Chief host will be Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Folasade Ogunsola.

Similarly, the duo of Williams and Head of Department (HOD) of Mass Communication, Prof. Adepoju Tejumaiye will serve as hosts.

Platforms available during the festival are exhibitions, lectures’ series, mentoring sessions, celebrations, products launch, book launch, awards, competitions and entrepreneurship.
