According to Higher National Diploma (HND) 2 student of the monotechnic, Kunuji Hannah who doubles as a fashion designer, both activities have imbibed in her the spirit of determination.

Hannah also said that it has taught her how to adapt and tackle situations quickly irrespective of the challenges.

She added: “There are days when I had sleepless nights just to meet up with my client’s orders and I still have to come to school the next day.”

Sharing his experience, fellow finalist at NIJ, graphics designer and printer, Abdulwarith Temitope emphasized the significance of effective time management and prioritization.

His words: “I’ve learned to create a schedule that allows me to allocate dedicated time for both my academic responsibilities and my business.

“I make sure to set aside specific hours for studying and attending classes, while also dedicating time to manage my business and handle customer inquiries.”

Another final year student and online clothing vendor, Oke Darasimi admitted that it is challenging, however, she revealed that discipline, sacrifice and strong support system can help to achieve success in both pursuits.

“There are moments when it can be overwhelming, especially during exam periods or when there’s a surge in orders for my business. But having a supportive network of friends, family, and fellow entrepreneurs have been instrumental in keeping me motivated and on track,” Darasimi disclosed.
