A Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) holder from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), now a professor of Language and Communication, Professor Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale, has been appointed Vice Rector of Pan African University (PAU) in Cameroon.
Prior to her new appointment, Professor Akeredolu-Ale was the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) from January 2020 to January 2022.
She was also the Head of the Department (HOD) of Communication and General Studies from 2009 to 2013, among others.
Born in Ibadan, Oyo state, Southwest Nigeria on January 5, 1964, Professor Akeredolu-Ale had her higher education at the University of Ibadan (UI), Southwest Nigeria, and the University of Birmingham, UK and PGD from NIJ.
She has contributed immensely to the growth of media in Nigeria and Africa through teaching and research for over 32 years.
She is also a member of the Journalism Trauma Education Research Group (JETREG) among others.
PAU was established by the African Union Commission with headquarters in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The University under the auspices of the African Union has faculties across the continent, namely Nigeria, Cameroon, Algeria, and South Africa.
