Simon Adingra, who was instrumental to Cote d’Ivoire’s success won the ‘Best Young Player’ of the tournament – and the Best Coach award went to the manager of the side, Emerse Fae.
The host nation, Cote d’Ivoire were AFCON champions after defeating Nigeria 2-1 in the final, thus the team managed by Jose Peseiro were runners-up, while South Africa finished third.
