Abu explained that the depreciation of the Nigerian Naira in recent years has made imports more expensive, thereby driving prices upward.

He also disclosed that Nigeria has experienced a continuous rise in inflation rates, resulting in a general increase in the cost of goods.

Similarly, Esther Adubi highlighted the plight of many Nigerians who are unable to afford three square meals, proper shelter, clothing, transportation, and medical expenses.

She attributed the price hike to the disruptions in the global supply chain caused by the past Covid-19 pandemic.

Sharing his thoughts on the situation, Engr. Olajide Peter emphasized that changes in the prices of energy, including gasoline and electricity, have significantly impacted production and transportation expenses.

Engr. Peter further stated that companies often pass on these increased costs to customers, thus driving up the prices of goods.

He called on the government to urgently establish economic stability measures to safeguard the welfare of Nigerians.
